Saudi Arabia Restricts Entry to Roza-e-Rasool (SAW) to an Annual Basis

audi Arabia updated the rules for visiting the Prophet’s tomb (Roza-e-Rasool). Now, you can only go once a year and need to book through special apps (Nusuk or Tawakkalna). They’re doing this because more people want to visit and they’re expecting many pilgrims for Hajj. Visiting the Prophet’s Mosque (Masjid e Nabwi) is still okay anytime. These changes are to make sure everyone can have a good experience at these important places.

Visiting the Prophet’s Tomb:

  • One visit per year: You can now only visit Roza-e-Rasool (the Prophet Muhammad’s tomb) once a year.
  • Get permission online: To visit, you need to apply for a permit through the Nusuk or Tawakkalna apps.
  • COVID-19 check: You’ll also need to declare your COVID-19 status, and your entry might depend on it.

Why the new rules?

  • More people want to visit: More and more Muslims want to visit Roza-e-Rasool, and these new rules help manage the crowds.
  • Hajj is coming: With over 2 million pilgrims expected for Hajj, the government wants to make sure everyone has a good experience.
  • Keeping things smooth: The goal is to have a smooth flow of visitors at these important religious sites.

Masjid e Nabwi:

No limit on visits: You can still visit Masjid e Nabwi (the Prophet’s Mosque) as many times as you like.

Remember:

  • These rules are meant to respect the holy sites and make everyone’s experience better.
  • Please be patient and understanding if it takes longer to get permission to visit.
